60 Year Old Lady Bashed On Train

A woman aged in her 60s has been rushed to hospital after a fight on the Sunbury train line.

Paramedics picked up the woman at Middle Footscray station shortly before 1.30pm, and have taken her to the Western Hospital in Footscray with upper-body injuries. An ambulance spokesman said the woman was in a stable condition.

The incident caused delays to other Sunbury line trains of more than 40 minutes. The timetable is settling back down and the delays were reduced to 10 minutes by 3pm.

Did anyone witness the event and was anyone else injured in the fight?
