Brett McBean, from Sunbury, has written the prequel to Wolf Creek, titled 'Desolation Games.' News Limited chose a fitting backdrop to photograph Brett outside of the old Digger Rest petrol station.
The novel is the second installation of a proposed six book series planned to tell the tale of the frightening Mick Taylor, who is loosely based on Ivan Milat and Peter Falconio's killer, Bradley John Murdoch. The story centres on Mick's early 20s when he fights in Vietnam, honing his skills as a killer. Later in the story he returns to outback Western Australia where a kombi load of tourists cross his path.
